Lord Green toured Warner Yard and engaged with start ups such as Appear

Here and Warner Yard residents including; Duedil, The Tab, Osper and Moni Technologies. After which he fielded opinions of angels and seed funds at a round table in order to ascertain what policies could be implemented to facilitate smoother deal flow for entrepreneurs and investors alike and thus bring growth to the UK economy.

Lord Green said: “Warner Yard is an excellent example of the growing entrepreneurial activity that is happening in East London, and more broadly through out the UK.

“There are some excellent, innovative ideas being commercialised which will challenge the way businesses operate.”

The seed funds and angels that participated in the round table included:

Connect Ventures, Passion Capital, Martin Bruncko, Dawn Capital, Raj Ramanandi, Peter Cowely, Russell Buckley and Playfair Capital who coordinated and participated in the round tables.

The event was hosted by Warner Yard, started by Playfair Capital this year, it is an incubation and co-working space based in Clerkenwell London, it is home to various angels, seed funds, start ups and the accelerator Techstars. Playfair Capital is an early stage seed fund that invests primarily in disruptive technology companies and is an active contributor to the growth of the London start up community.
